Fake... (Fälschung)
Gamen am PC, das habe ich nie verstanden. Aber wenn ich es mir so überlege, mache ich das ja genau auch so mit der Photonachbearbeitung! Der grosse Unterschied ist, dass ich die Regeln selber bestimme und es kein eindeutiges Ziel gibt das es zu erreichen gilt. Auch gibt es kein Zeitlimit und bei Fehlern kann ich immer wieder zurück oder sogar ganz von vorne beginnen. Auch kann ich ein Photo das mir erst Tage später nicht mehr gefällt löschen und von Grund auf neu "designen". Manchmal liegen Photos bei mir mehrere Wochen oder Monate in einem Ordner bis ich sie bearbeite, also ich kann dann Photos bearbeiten wenn ich grad "Bock" darauf habe, ohne Stress.
Das Resultat von "an den Photos rumfumeln" ist reine Geschmacksache. Einige sind gut gelungen und einige eben etwas übertrieben, aber das zu beurteilen sei jedem selber überlassen. Auch das ist eine Freiheit die ich sehr schätze! "Fake" heisst Fälschung und das sind Photos sobald man daran etwas verändert hat.
Nun auf dieser Homepage möchte ich einige "Fakes" zeigen. Ich werde immer eine kleine Erklärung dazu schreiben - alles klar?

Gaming on the PC, I never understood that. But when I think about it, that's exactly how I do it with photo post-processing! The big difference is that I make the rules myself and there is no clear goal to achieve. There is also no time limit and if I make a mistake I can always go back or even start from the beginning. I can also delete a photo that I don't like anymore days later and "design" it from scratch. Sometimes photos are in a folder for several weeks or months before I edit them, so I can edit photos when I feel like it, without stress.
The result of "fumbling around with the photos" is purely a matter of taste. Some are well done and some just a bit exaggerated, but that's up to you to judge for yourself. That too is a freedom that I value very much! "Fake" means forgery and these are photos as soon as you have changed something about them.
Now on this homepage I would like to show some "fakes". I will always write a little explanation about it - all right?

Das ist eine Abendstimmung bei Aasen in der Nähe von Donaueschingen (BRD). Es passiert immer wieder, dass man eine tolle Stimmungen erlebt, dann aber bei Anschauen des fertigen Photos enttäuscht ist weil die Dynamik weg ist. "Software" sei Dank kann man da aber einiges wieder gutmachen.

This is an evening mood near Aasen near Donaueschingen (Germany). It happens again and again that you experience a great mood, but then when you look at the finished photo you are disappointed because the dynamic is gone. Thanks to "software" you can make up for a lot.
Hafen in Chania (Kreta)
Hafen in Chania (Kreta)
Dises Bild ist vom Hafen in Chania. Den Effekt den ich hier anwende habe ich im GEOSAISON vom Mai 2003 gesehen, überigens mit Kretabildern auch von diesem Hafen. Ich finde, dass es so das etwas "staubige" Licht des Südens wiedergibt. Im Photoshop Elements wurde diese Einstellung "weicher Licht" genannt, weil er nur helle Stellen "weichzeichnet". Dieses Photo habe ich mit Luminar 4 "gestylt".
Port in Chania (Crete)
This picture is from the port in Chania. I saw the effect I'm using here in the GEOSAISON from May 2003, by the way with Crete pictures from this port too. I think it reflects the somewhat "dusty" light of the south. In Photoshop Elements, this setting was called "softer light" because it only "blurs" light areas. I "styled" this photo with Luminar 4.

Chrissi Nissi südlich von Ierapetra (Kreta)
Ein Ausflug auf die Chrissi Nissi, eine Insel ca. 14 Km südlich von Ierapetra (Kreta). Auch wenn nicht sehr viele Leuta da waren, so sollten die beiden Frauen alleine im Bild sein. Mit dem 14-24 mm Objaktiv kam ich nicht nahe genug heran. Also musste ich etwas "zaubern und die Personen "verschwinden" lassen.

A trip to Chrissi Nissi, an island about 14 km south of Ierapetra (Crete). Even if not very many people were there, the two women should be alone in the picture. I couldn't get close enough with the 14-24mm lens. So I had to do some "magic" and make the characters "disappear".

Zürich Panorama von der "Waid" aus
Dieses Panorama ist bei einem Treffen mit Tanjas ehemaligen Arbeitskolleginnen und und Herr und Frau Dr. Schweingruber, den "Chefs", auf der Terrasse des Restaurant Waid entstanden. Die Sicht war nicht sehr gut wie man auf der oberen Aufnahme sieht. Ich habe das Panorama aus 6 Einzelbildern zusammen gesetzt und mit der "Luminar Neo" Software die Schärfe und die Dynamik etwas angehoben.

This panorama is from a meeting with Tanja's former work colleagues and Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Schweingruber, the "Chefs", on the terrace of the Restaurant Waid. Visibility was not very good as you can see in the picture above. I put the panorama together from 6 individual images and used the "Luminar Neo" software to raise the sharpness and dynamics a bit.

Havga-Schlucht auf der Lassithi Hochebene (Kreta)
Ja und manchmal manipuliere ich am "Styling" gar nicht soviel, sondern werde ganz zum Erstaunen meiner Frau Tanja, zum Putzteufel. Mir schwamm auf der Wasseroberfläche zu viel Dreck und ich wollte so etwas Ruhe ins Bild bringen.

Yes, and sometimes I don't manipulate the "styling" that much, but rather, to the astonishment of my wife Tanja, become a cleaning devil. There was too much dirt floating on the surface of the water and I wanted to bring some calm into the picture.
